In 1883, the brewery named Harboe & Lotzs Bryggeri was established in Denmark with the special hearts and minds of its founders, becoming the first step in a very long journey later.

On August 2, 1883, the first wooden beer barrels were transported by horse and cart. Customers in the local community loved the idea of having beer delivered to their home and would come to the cart to fill their tank with the desired amount of beer.

In the mid-1920s, Harboe installed the first rinsing machine and bottle turner. A capping, corking and labeling machine will also be installed, which will replace much of the work that previously had to be done by hand.

In 1974, Harboe launched Bear Beer, which became Harboe's flagship brand among pilsners and specialty beers – and paved the way for Denmark's third largest brewery to enter the wider world. big.

In 1978 Harboe produced 40 million bottles of beer and soft drinks per year.

In 1989 the Darguner Brauerei factory was built shortly after the fall of the German Berlin Wall, when Harboe decided to enter the East German market. Today, Darguner Brauerei is one of Germany's largest breweries in terms of capacity.

Currently, the sixth generation of the Harboe family is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the company and holds ownership along with nearly 5,000 shareholders. There are production facilities in 3 countries: Denmark, Germany and Sweden. Doing business in more than 90 countries worldwide.
